On the 15th January, the under 9/10 team went to Chard to play in a tournament. We played 3 games that lasted 15 minutes each.
The first match was against Shepton Mallet which was a tough one to start with. But with some excellent defending we got a well-deserved 0 – 0 draw against a strong team.
The next game we played against Bruton which are always friendly and very competitive. This time we played exceptionally well with really good passing and a strong line of defence to get a 3 – 0 win. The goal scorers were Jack, Jake & Thomas but it was a real team effort.
Lastly we played against Chard, the home team. Again a tough match with both sides having chances. As the game wore on we got more possession from interceptions and incredible passing. The result was a 4 – 0 win with goals from Henry and Thomas.
The whole team played really well getting stronger each game. A first Tournament for Pierre In defence and a new cutting edge in attack and some excellent team Goals.
